Simon is a volunteer part-time Regional Assistant serving our Northern Ontario churches as their first response contact. He gets a lot of satisfaction in connecting with pastors and their spouses and seeing the ministry of every local church move forward.

 

Simon entered the EMCC in 1994 and was initially part of St. Clair EMC in Toronto where he grew up. In 1997 he moved to Callander, Ontario with his wife Val and their two children Kara and Hannah. His heart has always been to teach the Bible in an understandable way for all generations and to see people empowered to grow in their faith as part of a vibrant church. He has a great desire to see the EMCC move forward with strengthened ties between congregations as they are led by the Holy Spirit to reach out to the world.

 

He and his wife Val enjoy spending time with their family, hosting people in their home, and sharing good food and conversation around the table. Fishing on Lake Nipissing and diving into a good history book or earlier church theology give him great joy as well.
