gener8 is a special conference for young adults between the ages of 20-30. It's an opportunity to join with other young leaders to think creatively about following Jesus in our world in a way that’s not confined to church buildings or programs. Here, you will find support and encouragement to begin responding to Jesus, who calls you to follow Him, move in relationship with the people He misses most, deepen friendships, and create community. gener8 is held annually but moves from region to region across the country.
Our hope for those who attend gener8 is that you will:
Every gener8 conference includes elements of teaching, story-telling, small group interaction and personal reflection. Various EMCC leaders share stories and principles from their own experience of life on mission with Jesus. Recreational activities vary according to available options in the region in which the conference is held.
Registration for gener8 is intentionally limited to allow for maximum interaction between facilitators and participants. In some cases, the size of the facility is also a limiting factor. The cost of the retreat is subsidized by EMCC for the first 30 participants to register. They pay only $50, which covers, meals, lodging, materials and program. Registrations are received on a first-come first-served basis.
