Let the Earth Be Glad!

International Development Week 2025

We celebrate what God has done as we key into 1 Chronicles 16: "Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!" In the collection of stories below, we have the joy of sharing the great work God has brought about in the places where we have participated with the local church around the world. We celebrate His goodness and the lives that are transformed.

Our Collective Stories

Stories shared during February 3-7, 2025.

Part 1 - Let the Earth Be Glad! An introduction to this year's theme and stories of agriculture conservation in Ethiopia through our partner, Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

Part 2 - Tell of All His Wondrous Deeds. Stories of children's lives transformed by Jesus in Nepal, as they are cared for through our partner, SARA Ministries.

Part 3 - Give Thanks. We share our thanks for how God has cared for and preserved our Haitian brothers and sisters who serve as medical staff in Northeast Haiti, at a time when risk is high.

Part 4 - Return to God. Abundance from the land comes when people are in right relationship with God, as demonstrated through the principles taught by Inundo in Farming God's Way.

Part 5 - Extending Blessing. Creating a ripple effect by supporting underprivileged children in a local slum community in India.

Demonstrating the Good News

Development happens when a community mobilizes their resources to meet their needs, as defined by them. A community decides what must be done. Then, as they recognize the resources they already have, and as they see that God equips them to solve their own problems, the attitude of the community turns to hope [7 Resources Brochure, 2019].

You can support this kind of development.
