For the last 40+ years, Pitch'n Praise has impacted countless people in ways we could never measure. There have been many people who, for decades, have invested well in the lives of youth and who continue to do so today.
Only Jesus knows of the depth of passion and sacrifice which inspired the level of service given.
What's happening in 2019?
Pitch’n Praise will not happen in 2019.
Here is the reason why. The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC), the founding denomination of the Pitch'n Praise event, has entered into a time of reflection and discernment about the future of the event within an overall strategy toward discipling youth. Toward this end we are engaging with leaders across the EMCC to have serious and important conversation about the way of engaging with youth and young adults.
This is not the end of events or ministry resources dedicated to caring for the next generations. We are committed, as always, to discover the pathway for us to “Follow Jesus Together” in discipling next generations in His ways.
There are multiple youth events happening in Ontario for you to choose from. The EMCC invites you to choose one that best serves the ambitions you have for your youth. One such event is being planned by three of our local church youth pastors, called PhoenixFest.
We encourage you to go to the PhoenixFest website at www.phoenixfest.ca to learn more about this event. This is not an EMCC sponsored event, but it may fill the niche for your youth ministries this year.
