I attended the McMaster Divinity College convocation last evening (May 23, 2017) in Hamilton. Our former president, Dr. Dow, was the recipient of an honorary degree, Doctor of Divinity honours cause. He gave the convocation address urging graduates to live under the authority of the Word of God. He also spoke to students at the graduation chapel held earlier in the day. A number of family members and close friends were in attendance to share in the event.

Two former EBC students were among the graduates. Stephen Veerasammy received a Master of Divinity degree and David Doherty a Master of Theological Studies degree. David was also the recipient of one of two Princiapl’s Gold Medal Awards.

It was quite an evening as our college was highlighted in this wonderful way. It made me proud and grateful for the work we do here and to know we are having an impact as we prepare followers of Jesus to go and make a difference in the world for Christ and His Kingdom.
