During the first week of May, 2016  a massive wildfire has been burning out of control in Fort McMurray, The entire city is under a mandatory evacuation order. Tens of thousands of people have fled the city.

The Salvation Army has already been mobilized to feed 1,000 First Responders south of Fort McMurray. In the days ahead there will be great need for spiritual and emotional support as people contend with the loss of homes, vehicles, possessions and more. They are on the ground and prepared to respond.

EMCC is accepting donations in support of the rescue and restoration efforts in Fort McMurray and will be partnering with the Salvation Army to see that the funds will be used effectively.
