The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada is looking for a World Partners Church Engagement Facilitator

 Position Status: Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)  

Immediate Supervisor: Director of World Partners 

Position Start Date: September 2023

Compensation Package: Compensation will be in accordance with EMCC salary guidelines. Vacation, pension, and health benefits will be in keeping with HR policies.  

Position Summary

The Church Engagement Facilitator will be responsible for providing base level consultation to our EMCC churches related to their missional engagement. In keeping with World Partners mission statement, “learning with, connection, and mobilizing people to adaptively participate with Jesus’ mission everywhere”, this role includes assisting and serving our churches in exploring their part in God’s crosscultural and global mission. From these consultations, the Church Engagement Facilitator will advise the Director of World Partners on how the grassroots is understanding participating in a changing global mission landscape and then help to facilitate/coordinate church participation success.  

Position Expectations

The Church Engagement Facilitator is expected to operate in a manner congruent with the EMCC National Team. This includes: 

• Understanding and living a lifestyle reflective of the ways of Jesus.
• Adhering to the standards of the EMCC Employee Handbook.

Position Qualifications

• Growing familiarity with EMCC/WP language and ethos.
• Experience in church and/or non-profit world, particularly in the realm of facilitation.
• Possess strong relational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to work remotely on a team; organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High level of integrity, servant-heart, and efficient, flexible work ethic.

Position Responsibilities

• Consult with EMCC credentialed leaders and lay-leadership on their starting points with missional engagement and facilitate base-level consultations for further service or connection with World Partners
• Collaborate with Director of World Partners related to church engagement and consultation strategy and implementation.
• Actively listen to the grassroots reality of EMCC congregations and associated leaders.
• Participate in the rhythms and workflow of the EMCC National Team, as assigned/appropriate.
