    Help for Ecuador Earthquake Victims

    April 19, 2016
On Saturday, April 16th a 7.8 magnitude quake hit Ecuador. Many of our people in the Evangelical Missionary Church of Ecuador were affected.

    Impact
There are three coastal villages where EMC churches are located that have been severely hit by the earthquake. Many houses, including the pastors homes have been completely destroyed. Several churches are badly damaged. To date there are no reports of deaths from within the EMC family although some injuries have been reported.

Access to these remote areas is very limited or non existent right now. The Evangelical Missionary Church of Ecuador is working to find ways to transport the most basic needs to these communities by water rather than by road.

The greatest needs right now are food & water, medicines, clothing and toiletries.

    How To Help
Please keep the people of Ecuador in your prayers. We are aware that there are many needs throughout the world. We feel that it is important to continue to help in those areas where God has already led us to invest.  Please invite your congregation to contribute to this relief effort.  Donations can be made on-line to our Ecuador Earthquake Relief Fund or by mail to:
    EMCC
    Disaster Relief
    214 Highland Rd, Kitchener, ON N2M 3W2
Cheques should be made payable to EMCC.
Whether paying on-line or by cheque, please indicate that you would like to direct the funds to Ecuador relief.

Thank-you for your generous response toward our brothers and sisters under these difficult circumstances.
    Lou Geense
    Director, EMCC Global Initiatives
