EMCC Prospective Writers Cohort 2025

Have you had the dream of writing a book someday? Have you made attempts in the past but have yet to make any progress? Does the idea seem too daunting of a task? Let us help you make that dream come true.

In the fall of 2023, I reconnected with a friend who had just published his first book. He was excited, and I was excited for him. When asked how he accomplished his dream, he said, “With the help of a book coach.” In January of 2024, I enrolled in a course with that same book coach. In 100 days, he guided me to write a 30,000-word manuscript recently published worldwide on Amazon.ca in November 2025. It is called “Pull Up a Chair: The Best Decision Your Church Board Will Ever Make.”

In collaboration with PublishU, John Cressman and Matt Bird, PublishU founder, will host an EMCC writer’s cohort, enabling you to write your book from the initial idea to a publishable manuscript in 100 days. The cohort will include eight live online sessions of 75 minutes each. Your cohort will become a community of mutual encouragement, feedback and accountability. Over 80% of those who complete the course do so with a draft manuscript for their book. You are free to publish your book in any way you wish; many authors, however, are published worldwide by PublishU.

The course costs $450.00. The cohort can hold up to ten writers. Selection will be on a first-come basis. Books that are ministry-related or encourage readers to follow Jesus (memoirs) will be prioritized. The cohort dates are February 6, 13, 20, 27, March 13, 27, April 10, 24, 2025.
