With regret, the EMCC Board of Directors, announces the denomination will be parting ways with its President, Rev. Kervin Raugust.
“We are grateful for the insight and service Pastor Kervin brought to the denomination during his three years of leadership,” says Board Moderator Kerry Belt. “This did not come without a lot of prayer and discernment.” During his tenure, Pastor Kervin presided over important advancements that will continue to equip our pastors to disciple their churches in the Way of Jesus. This included launching the Enrich Resource Centre and establishing a National Prayer Team. “When, at times, followers of Jesus part ways in their work on the Great Commission, it is important to keep the vision and goal of Christ’s Kingdom at the forefront,” adds Kerry. “Kervin always sought to inspire every one of us to reach our full Kingdom potential and capacity and for that his leadership will be fondly remembered.”
During the transition, the denomination will continue under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John Cressman who, after having served as Board Appointed National Team Lead, will now be serving as Interim President of the EMCC. Additionally, a Board-appointed Presidential Search Committee will be working prayerfully to present a nominee who may stand for election as the next president of the EMCC.
The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC) is a family of churches across Canada organized to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.
