The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada(C&MA), the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada(EMCC), together with their related colleges, have been exploring how to cooperate for more effective impact in higher education and ministry preparation. After much prayerful consideration, a newly minted Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by all parties on November 10th, 2017.
Accordingly, Emmanuel Bible College is now an approved C&MA school for theological education in Eastern Canada, and Ambrose University is an approved EMCC school for Theology and Arts & Science in Western Canada. Rocky Mountain College will serve both schools with its Pathways platform as the avenue for distributed learning.
Kervin Raugust, president of the EMCC, noted that “the Kingdom of God advances when leaders create gateways for working together.”
David Hearn, president of the C&MA added that “the strategic relationship between the colleges to inspire, equip and unleash a whole new generation of mission-focused leaders is a powerful expression of dynamic denominational partnership. We move from competition to collaboration. This is a great day!”
