National Board Moderator, Kerry Belt, provided this update recently:

[At the National Board Meetings in November] we spent considerable time praying and discussing the presidential candidates brought forward through the good work of the search committee. The board is very thankful and optimistic about the search process. We expect a presidential candidate will be presented to the constituency in the next few weeks, giving plenty of time to prepare to vote on the candidate at the 2017 General Assembly. Please continue to pray with us as God directs us to the person he has chosen to lead us in the future.
