Ruth Brown passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the age of 86 years, beloved wife of Arthur “Art” Brown of Medicine Hat.
In 1952, Ruth and Art were married and entered the Christian ministry, serving churches in Torrington, Alberta, Lipton, Saskatchewan, Hanna, Alberta and Medicine Hat. Ruth’s natural gifts in music, teaching and hospitality along with her heart to serve the needs of others and especially young people helped the churches they served to flourish. Since 1984, Ruth and Art have enjoyed the home they designed and built in Medicine Hat. It has been the gathering place of their entire family of fourteen over many years.
Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church on Friday from 12:30 p.m - 1:25 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church (3785 13th Ave SE) on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Bolender officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
