How are We Doing Financially? (6/7/2009)

We are grateful for the strong giving to EMCC World Partners SHARE SUPPORT. Currently World Partners income is $422,000; 96% of year-to-date ((YTD) budget. Expenses are currently at $437,000; 102% of YTD budget. The net affect of this is a $15,000 deficit, an improvement over recent years.

We are thankful for the support of EMCC SHARED MINISTRIES that are carried out by the National Team. It is encouraging to see congregations moving closer to the target of 5% of revenues (minus capital funds) in response to the treasurer’s report at Assembly. Here are the numbers for EMCC general operation, our Shared Ministries fund up to the end of April, 2009: income $275,000; 90% of YTD budget, expenses $305,000; 100% of YTD budget.

To give the numbers some context, the pattern is typical to what we have seen in other years.

Pentecost Offering at Assembly: $1,664 was raised at Assembly for the Pentecost Fund. Many of you will have participated in the Pentecost Sunday Offering locally. For 2009, there are four ministries that will be beneficiaries of your ministry investment: Richmond Faith Fellowship, Regina Initiative, Oakville Chinese and Café La Mosaïque.
