EMCC GC2 Coaching shared with Global Mission Agency Leaders (6/7/2009)

One seminar participant commented, "when I heard the definition of coaching as 'helping people get from where they are to where God wants to take them', I thought of how much fuel this will give me in empowering others around me." The ongoing challenge for us in Christian service is to get away from always giving answers, and return to the power of a great question to unlock the answers already within a person.

EMCC and WEC International have worked together through the years, most notably through EMCC World Partners serving with WEC around the world. After Gerald Brulotte discovered the value of coaching for working in cross-cultural context, he bridged the call to his friends at WEC, and on May 12, GC2 Coaching was shared with WEC, and some other notable Canadian Mission Agency leaders in Canada (including BCM International, Finishers, Wycliffe, & Faith Mission Canada).

Joel Zantingh and Phil Delsaut presented the training with Sandra Tjart who modelled the 'unlocking potential of coaching' in a live demo.

The next GC2 Coaching Training scheduled for October 19 and 20, 2009 in Alberta for EMCC pastors and ministry leaders. More details to follow.
